Parent Checklist in ES WEBfiles
From the View, Parent
Accounts layout, click on the Parent Checklist button at the top right of the
page. This page shows a listing of all of your parents on one page, with
checkboxes for you to use to indicate the school documents that you have given
to each parent, and to indicate the forms that you have for each family in
your ES Files. This page only shows the "parent" specific forms
and documents, not the "student" specific ones. Just check the box
when you have completed the task. They are separated by yearly forms
that need to be done once each school year, and one time only forms.
Before you check a box for a form that requires you to enter data in another
spot in webfiles (listed in the directions on the
forms), be sure you have entered the data requested. Many school
departments are waiting for the entry of the data.
This checklist serves many
purposes, some of which are listed below:
1. It is to be an easy way
for each ES to track what has been done for each family, and what still needs
to be done.
2. It is a way for an
advisor to know immediately while they are on the phone with a parent what they
did and did not receive, sign, etc. Your advisor can advocate for you
without even having to call you!
3. It will save mailing
forms to the office. Some forms we will still need to have sent in,
but we hope to limit those by asking the ES to just "check" that the
form is in their files. If the office or your advisor should need to see
a copy of a form for a family, they will contact you and ask for it to be
mailed or faxed.
4. An ES receiving a transfer
will know what the family has already done, and what they need to do, without
having to make contact. The receiving ES will also know what to expect when
they receive the family file.
