What an ES needs to bring to an IEP Meeting

 

According to the ES Job Description, Essential Duties and Responsibilities, an ES is responsible for: "Attending IEP and other required meetings for assigned students."

 

Grades K-8:

-the most recent CST scores
-copy of most recent learning record

-information on work habits, interests and concerns

 

Grades 9-12 (or students transitioning to high school)

- a copy of their current transcript

-a course of study  for the next two semesters

-a record of all attempts to take the CAHSEE and the scores they received

-their status in meeting all other graduation requirements (e.g. Algebra 1)
-copy of most recent learning record

 

Attendance of a General Education teacher at an IEP meeting is required as one component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) and is a job duty of a General Education teacher.  Because of budgetary requirements and accountability, Connecting Waters’ Special Ed department will no longer be able to pay a stipend for participating on IEP meetings effective immediately.  Please understand that your input is required and valued for the benefit of our students.
