Scheduling meetings for 1^st semester

Individualize per parent for proposed dates to meet first semester. Remember, you will need to be flexible as you do not yet know their schedule for this school year.  We recommend sending this out @ August 1st to remind them of the start date for the school year and to organize LR dates for first semester. You might want to attach a school calendar to this email as well.

Dear (Parent),

I can't believe our summer is almost over!  School is scheduled to begin on (date). The school calendar is posted on our school website at: (calendar link). I am back to work full-time starting (date), but thought I'd touch base with you in regards to first semester learning record meeting dates. 

Here's the dates I propose for Fall Semester:

Time – (time) am/pm – (location)

(Tuesday - September 2nd (labor day on the 1st) (sample section)

Monday - September 29th - this is when I'd Scantron test your students

Monday - October 27th

Monday - December 1st - school-wide writing assessment due

Monday - January 5th - 1st day of 2nd semester)

Let me know if you have other scheduled activities that will conflict with this schedule ASAP so that I can save another time/date spot for you! Looking forward to working with your children again soon!
