Dropped Student’s Funding

 

Unspent funds revert back to the general fund.

1. Funding amount is adjusted to drop date

2. AESS funding is adjusted to drop date

3. All expenditures and encumbrances are deducted.

4. Remaining balance reverts to General Fund

5. If the balance is negative, nothing is deducted

 

If there are more than one student in the family and only one drops.

1. First we figure the total IF funds received for that family

2. Then we figure the percent of the IF funds that the dropping student contributed

3. The dropping student's responsibility for family expenditures is the same as their percent contributed to the family budget

4. Then we apply steps 1-5 above to determine the amount that will revert back to the General Fund.
