Most science kits appear to be more appropriate for K-8 students (They are available from Delta, ETA, Usborne, Nasco, Edmund Scientifics,
Insect Lore, etc.). Many of these same vendors have hands-on materials that are appropriate for high school level but it is likely you will need to compile them
into a package for the family.
AIMS has a few items that tie in with their materials including a "Microworld Adventures" activity curriculum that is for grades 4 - 9. It
includes an activities book, video, and class kit.
Acorn Naturalist has an "Exploring with a Microscope" Class Kit for grades 9 - 12.
Nasco carries some kits that might be fine for high schoolers, but they appear to be set up for classes of 30 or so students. They carry several Bioquest kits including BIOQUEST PROTOZOA DISCOVERY KIT.
Edmund Scientifics has several books and CD courses related to microscopes, slides, slidemaking kits, etc.
Fisher Science Education has some kits and slide sets. For example for microscope related study they carry EXPLORING WITH A MICROSCOPE (includes lab materials, comprehensive teacher and student guides, etc.)
Carolina Biological Supply Co. has some incredible slides sets available; also slide making kits
J. Weston Walch carries a book LEARNING ABOUT MICROBES, A LABORATORY MANUAL and 25 LOW-COST BIOLOGY INVESTIGATIONS (both are reproducible.)
Division of Independent Study (North Dakota) offers a biology course that includes lab materials. This course includes text, course syllabus, teacher's materials, lab materials, etc.
Oak Meadow has a nature oriented biology course. Their main textbook is Holt's VISUALIZING LIFE.
Core Curriculum of America at 888-689-4626; http://core-curriculum.com . They are quite likely to be able to compile a biology course that would be individualized for the students' needs.
