Finding Current ES Information
ES
Information:
An important part of the job of the ES is to stay
current with school processes and procedures. New process and procedures will
be posted on ES WEBfiles and/or addressed in an ES monthly agenda, and then
entered into the ES Handbook. Most questions can be answered by looking in the
ES Handbook, so it is important to become familiar with the formatting of the content
page of the handbook. The Search feature may pull up documents that are old or
belong to a different IEM school, therefore using the search feature should be
the last resort.
ES
Information Process:
The ES should always look first in the ES Handbook
for answers to their school questions. If the ES cannot find the answer in the
ES Handbook or needs more specific clarification, then they should next email
their ES Advisor.
(Note this distinction: Your Area Facilitator
hosts your monthly ES meeting, signs your I-9 form, checks out training videos,
and serves as a facilitator for sharing ideas and networking amongst the ESs in
your area. Your ES Advisor is the person who answers your process and
procedure questions and helps you with any problems you are having with
your families or with your job).
Summary:
·
Please
do not initiate any calls to the IEM or school office for any purpose except
personal personnel issues, when called or emailed by the office and you need to
respond, or when directed to do so. Please refer to the IEM Phone Policy
for further clarification.
·
Questions
must all be sent first to your ES Advisor.
·
Just
as we expect that all ESs will answer their e-mail and phone calls within 24
hours (except on weekends), we hope to have the same consideration for our
Office Staff and Advisor Team. They should answer your e-mails and phone calls
within 24 hours during the work week.
