Finding Current ES Information

Part of the job of the ES is to stay current with processes and procedures. New process and procedures will be posted in FRED and/or addressed in an ES monthly agenda, and then entered into the ES Manual. Most questions can be answered by looking in the ES Manual, so it is important to become familiar with the content page of the handbook. ESes find the Manual Outline helpful, open the outline and click "control 'f' " to do a find on the item needed.

The ES looks in the ES Manual for answers to questions. If the ES can not find the answer in the ES Manual or needs clarification, then he/she e-mails their ES Advisor. If the ES needs assistance in communicating with their advisor, they should contact the Executive Director.

(Your Area Facilitator hosts your monthly ES meeting and serves as a facilitator for sharing ideas and networking amongst the ESs in your area. Your ES Advisor is the person who answers your process and procedure questions and helps you with any problems you are having with your families or with your job).

Do not initiate any calls to the IEM Office for any purpose except personal personnel issues. Please refer to the IEM Phone Policy.

Only e-mail the IEM Office as directed in the ES Manual Processes,or if the office initiates the request.

Questions must all be sent through your ES Advisor.

We expect that all ESs will answer their e-mail and phone calls within 24 hours (except on weekends and school holidays). This includes emails not only from their advisor or CW administration, but also from parents, other ESs, learning center personnel, IEM staff, or ES list serve messages. We hope to have the same consideration from our Office Staff and Advisor Team. They should answer your e-mails and phone calls within 24 hours during the work week.
