Ways to Obtain Vendor Product & Catalogue Information

Go to the Vendor's Website

To quickly access the most current information, go to the school's Approved Vendor List, find the vendor and click on their website address. Bookmark your favorite vendors for easy access. At a vendor's website, you can check to be sure an item fits into the criteria of what can be ordered with school funding prior to placing the order.

California Edition Textbooks

If you are needing ordering and pricing information for a California edition textbook, DO NOT go to the vendor's website first. Go instead to the Vendor Info section of the ES Only (protected area), or email your Curriculum Coordinator for that information, who is happy to help you.

While ordering and pricing is given in the Vendor Info area of the website, it is not possible to maintain it so that is always has the most current pricing. Once you have decided on the item's ISBN, please contact the vendor's customer service department, give them the ISBN and ask for the most current pricing. This is important because some vendors won't process the order without the exact currrent pricing.

While they are getting better, most vendor websites do not have the ordering and pricing information to the California Edition textbooks. The information tends to be for their national textbooks that may not align to the California standards, or if it aligns, will not have the California standards for the lessons listed in the Teacher Edition. Textbook company customer service representatives are usually not able to provide California textbook ordering and pricing information unless you give them the California edition ISBN. If you contact them without an ISBN, you may obtain the ordering and pricing information to the national version of the textbook.

Use the Catalogue Library (if one is available in your area)

A collection of catalogs is available at some locations. Check with your advisor about the availability of a catalogue library in your area.

Use Your Personal Catalogue Library

ESs and families will want to collect their own set of catalogs, especially ones from favorite vendors. Be sure to discard the catalogs when they have expired, as some vendors will not honor our orders if we use the incorrect product code or an outdated prices. Toll free phone numbers are included on the Approved Vendor List posted on the webpage so that either you or your families can call and request catalogs.

Use Amazon.com

At Amazon.com, search for a product, see who publishes it, then see if they are a school approved vendor. Then use the ways suggested above to obtain the product/ordering/pricing information.

Ask Your Advisor

Another way to obtain product/ordering/pricing information is to ask your advisor. If it is a California edition textbook, email your Curriculum Coordinator.
