Meets 1 year physical science high school graduation requirement.
Recommended that students do take Earth Science and do not take Physical Science to meet their high school graduation requirement for physical science because there is no end-of-course test for Physical Science. Students may take Physical Science as an elective after they have taken Earth Science.
Science, Grade 9 A-G Earth Science It has not yet been determined whether we will have an A-G Earth Science (A-G Elective) for 2008-2009.
Science, Grade 10 Biology End-of-course test.
Meets 1 year life science high school graduation requirement.
Students are encouraged to perform labs to experience an enriched Biology course, but UC will not accept labs done in the home to meet the UC A-G lab science entrance requirments. (see Lab Biology).
It is recommended that students take Biology in 10th grade because all 10th grade students must take the life science CST.

Science, Grade 10 Life Science

It is not recommended that students take Life Science because there is no end-of-course test for Life Science. It is recommended that they take Biology instead which does have an end-of-course test. There are Biology curriculum recommendations for struggling and ELL students. All 10th grade students must take a CST life science test, which is why it is recommend that students take Biology in 10th grade--so they will perform well on the mandatory 10th grade life science CST.

Science, Grade 11 Chemistry End-of-course test.

It is recommended that students do not take Physical Science to meet their 1-year physical science graduation requirement since there is no end-of-course test for Physical Science.
It is recommended that students do take Earth Science instead to meet their 1-year physical science graduation requirement because Earth Science has an end-of-course test.
If students still desire to take Physical Science, it is recommended that they take it as an elective only after they have taken Earth Science.
