Where do you start to select curriculum from our numerous school resources? We recommend that you begin by writing out your personal philosophy of education.  Think about the following:  What is the purpose of education?  How do students learn best?  What is your role as their teacher?  What are your educational goals for your child? Then, within that framework, select curriculum and activities that support your child’s learning style.
While waiting for your curriculum to arrive, look through and become familiar with the concepts covered for your child’s grade level by referring to the California standards.  Then, get started by using our links to free internet educational websites combined with resources from your local library.
