These materials are adopted by the State Board of Education on the recommendation of the commission mentioned below because they have been determined to be in alignment with California state content standards.

Frameworks are developed by the Curriculum Development and Supplemental Materials Commission, which also reviews and recommends textbooks and other instructional materials to be adopted by the State Board
