Description

The materials given out for K-8 are part of state-adopted programs.  This means the curriculum is standards-aligned and will provide complete coverage of either Math or Language Arts if all suggested components are ordered.   The K-5 Math curriculum is part of the Houghton Mifflin Mathematics CA Edition (c. 2002) program and the K-5 Language Arts curriculum is part of the Houghton Mifflin CA Reading (c. 2003) program.  The 6-12 Language Arts curriculum is part of Holt’s Literature & Language Arts series for California.  The 6-8 Math curriculum is part of Glencoe’s middle school (2006) Math program for California, including Mathematics: Applications & Concepts, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1.  High school students who have not passed the CAHSEE are given the Measuring Up workbook developed by People’s Education, which is recommended and approved by the CDE as a CAHSEE intervention program.

Here is a list of curriculum given to students at intake. All items, even consumables (unless all used up) are to be returned by the ES when a student drops so that they can be used for another incoming student. The items highlighted in yellow are the grades, items in green are English curriculum, and items in purple are Math curriculum.
