Home Tutoring Plus (HTP) is
pleased to continue to provide CWCS students with tutoring and portfolio
options. Please remember www.charterschoolresource.com/cwcs
lists our special CWCS prices and unique CWCS options. We have revised our
portfolio options and now offer a simple portfolio review at rock-bottom
prices.

*A/P, SAT prep, levels 2 or higher of Spanish and French or any level of other languages, math at Trigonometry/Pre-calculus and higher, high school level or higher chemistry and physics and specialty teachers (Special Education, Credentialed Reading Specialists, Lindamood-Bell, etc). Some advanced college-level courses or areas may require special arrangements. Please call for rates.

Tutoring Details and Guidelines
We recommend at least one
hour per week per subject. We will accept other arrangements, but in general
the effectiveness of the tutoring will be diminished. If
HQT grading required, see details on portfolio review or management.
Once you’ve agreed upon the subjects and
number of hours, we need to speak with the parents. Use our handy tutoring request form to
give us the necessary information to efficiently provide tutoring for your
students. Alternatively, email or call us to let us know that you’ve submitted
paperwork for a particular student. If not using our on-line form, be sure to
give us this information:

Portfolio Review Details
I. Portfolio
Review $75 (If additional submissions required, $25 per)
**Multiple review
discounts (per ES/semester): 5-9 reviews $70 each, 10 or more $65
each.
1)
HTP must receive a
delivery of 5 representative work samples including at least one test,
list of work accomplished, grades on quizzes, tests, reports, and projects by December
13, 2010. Only copies of corrected and
graded assignments are to be provided to the HQT.
2)
A semester grade
will be given based upon student achievement.
3)
If, due to a
problem with materials provided, further submissions are required to give a
revised grade, the cost is $25 per submission.
Portfolio Management Details
Both portfolio management packages
include pacing guide/Timeline and Report, mid-term/final creation and return postage
of portfolio management materials to the student. In order for CWCS to
best insure their students’ success, HTP has agreed to alert the Executive
Director if there are serious issues with any student who is in danger of not
passing.
I. Basic Portfolio Management, $125 (If added to at least 8 hours of in-home tutoring, $100)

ES will provide
curriculum information within 3 days of issuance of purchase order (

HQT will give the ES (and parent if requested) a monthly email report based on
the work received from the student.

II. A-G Portfolio Management $255.
1)
ES/Parent will provide
curriculum information and CWCS Pacing Guide within 3 days of issuance of
purchase order (

The student is responsible for delivery twice
per semester of specific work samples requested by the HQT. Only
copies of corrected and graded assignments are to be mailed to HTP according to
schedule. The HQT will give the ES (and parent if requested) a monthly
email report based on attendance and work received from the student.
3)
HQT will create
and correct midterm and final.
4)
Proctoring exams is not included in this rate, but it is an additional
service that Home Tutoring Plus Inc can provide in most locations if requested in advance. Since proctoring
is a UC requirement, ES must notify HTP which of the following will occur:
a.
ES or other person, approved by CWCS Executive Director, proctors exam
b.
Request for information/price for
Home Tutoring Plus proctoring service.
5)
A semester grade
will be given based upon student achievement in relation to the Timeline and
Report and exams.
6)
Five telephone
consultations with the HQT (up to 15 minutes each).
7)
If the student
has questions or needs guidance, the HQT will reply to inquiries within 24
hours. If more than 1.25 hours of questions (15 minute minimum charge for
phone/online tutoring) is needed, an additional

All cancellations after the
drop date (9/17) will be considered individually. The charge depends upon the
tutor time spent, if books were purchased, if a new Timeline & Review
and/or midterm were created, etc.
