Getting Started
Software: To find out if your computer has the software needed to run Accelerated
Reader, click “Check Software Requirements” on the bottom of the Welcome page, https://hosted4.renlearn.com/1611044/default.htm, before you log in. Load any software
indicated as needed.
Starting the Software
Before you begin, make sure that you have your user name and password.
1. Start your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, or Safari).
2. In your browser window, go to https://hosted4.renlearn.com/1611044/default.htm. The Welcome page appears.
Logging in as the teacher
3. Click “Teacher/Administrator.” Note: Parents log in as Teacher/Administrator, NOT Parent
4. At the Teacher/Administrators login page, follow these steps:
a. Click in the User Name field (blank) and type your user name.
b. Click in the Password field and type your password.
Note: If you want to change your password, check the Change Password box before you log in. Click in the box to check it or to remove the check mark.
c. Click the [Log In] button.
5. If the user name and password you entered are valid, either the Change Password page or your Home page appears. If the program notifies you that you have entered an invalid user name or password, try again to make sure that you did not type the information incorrectly. If the user name and password still don’t work, contact mailto:cmoretto@connectingwaters.org. Important: If you enter an incorrect password too many times, the software may tell you that your account has been locked out. If this happens, contact cmoretto@connectingwaters.org to request that your account be unlocked.
6. The teacher/parent sets the level and points the student is required to read. Teacher/parent signs in as the teacher to look at the quiz list. For the most up to date list, from Home, choose Reports. Choose School Management. Choose Quiz List- Reading Practice. You can choose to sort by title/author/book level and by interest level. Click View Report to see the list.

http://www.renlearn.com/store/Default.asp Chooses Quiz search. You can search for a specific title or use advanced search to see a list of titles in a particular book or interest level.
To take quizzes, sign in as the student, with the user names and passwords you were given. Choose "take a Quiz" then "Take a _______ quiz". Find the quiz by title, author, or quiz number from the list. Choose how the book was read (read to, read with, read independently). Confirm that you want to take the quiz. Take the quiz. It is automatically corrected.

*Parent user Names and passwords are as follows: All parent will be the first letter of the mother’s first name and then the last name. The Parent passwords are set as ‘admin1’. For example: Christopher & Sherri Nelson; username: snelson p/w: admin1. If you have used this program in the past and changed your password, it is still changed. If you can't remember it, email Cathy Moretto cmoretto@connectingwaters.org and she will change it back to the original password.
Note the following key:
IL= Interest Level
LG= Lower Grades- K-4
MG= Middle Grades- 5-8
UG= Upper Grades- 9-12
BL= Book Grade Level
