Theme Park Guidelines for

Group Educational Activity/Educational Activity

Policy

1.      The student must do an "educational" tour of the park that relates to their courses for that semester to qualify for a paid admission.

2.      The ES must go to the park’s website and print out the "educational materials" for the educational tour, be sure it matches the student’s course of study, and see that the students complete the appropriate worksheets that go along with the visit to the park.

3.      Some of the worksheets are designed to be completed prior to the visit, some during the visit, and some after the visit.

4.      The ES needs to be sure the parent/student understand his/her expectations of what the student will complete if he/she participates in an EA at the theme park.

5.      We suggest the ES collect some of the pre-visit worksheets prior to releasing the check/tickets to the family to ensure it will be an “educational” tour with state dollars.

6.      After their visit, the ES must list the educational learning activities that occurred that day at the park, plus the learning they did on the worksheets in preparation for the visit, in detail.
