ES
responsibilities for GEAs
1. Be
sure all parents are aware of the available GEAs. You will need to communicate
about the GEAs to those parents not on our parent listserves in a timely
manner, as all GEAs are first come, first
serve.
2. Sign up students who
have available funding and want to go in ES Webfiles to reserve their space,
but do not check the "ES Approval" box.
3. Contact parents to
let them know they got a space (#2) in Webfiles, and remind them that you
need a permission slip (http://www.ieminc.org/genericforms/edactper.pdf)
in your hands by the deadline date in order for them not to lose that space.
You also need a vehicle usage form (http://www.ieminc.org/genericforms/vehicleusage.pdf) if they will be driving students other than their
own. Keep these forms in your files unless requested
to send them to the office.
4. When you
receive the permission slip, go into ES WEbfiles and check the "ES Approval" box (this
tells the office you have the
permission slip in your files), then print out a "Course Approval form" for the
student to take with them on the day of the event to exchange for their
ticket/entrance (you can print to pdf and email to the student).
5. If you do not
receive a permission slip by the deadline, email Janelle to remove them from
the GEA approved list.
6. Janelle Brewer (jbrewer@ieminc.org) will be at the GEA
events to take forms, hand out tickets, and/or allow entrance for those who are
on the final GEA list.
If your parents wish to
purchase tickets/attend the events themselves, provide them the parent
directions listed in Webfiles on the GEA page to do so. The school does not pay for adults or
non-enrolled students or take money through the school for those tickets.
Janelle will provide directions for them, if at all possible.
