How to Create A High School Report Card
in the ES WEBfiles
Before
starting the report card, be sure that you have a list of all of the classes,
grades, and credits that you want to assign. Once you create a report card,
you can not go back to it and make additions or changes to the grades/courses/credits.
(You can always add courses at a later date, but they will need to be submitted
individually
on a new report card which will then be added to the transcript.) Print
a copy of the report card for your student's file.
- Click
on "CREATE"
- Choose "Report
Card" from drop down list
- Click "Go"
- A
message will come up that says, "Choose the type of Report Card you
wish to create: None/cancel, Grade School, or High School"
- Click on High School
- Your student drop down list
will appear
- Choose a student
- The semester drop down box
will appear
- Choose the semester
- The school year drop down box
will appear
(The school year is the same for
both semesters. If it is the 2007/2008 calendar year, you should choose "2008"
for both the first and second semesters.)
- Choose
the school year
- Choose
a growth area by clicking on the circle by the desired growth area title
- Click
on the box below "course #" and a drop down of options for the
growth area you chose will appear
- Click
on the up or down arrows, or click and drag the scroll bar to view courses
- Click
on the desired course title
- The
academic mark drop down box will appear
- Click
on the mark
- The
Credit drop down box will appear
- Click
on # of credits earned
- The
Grade level box will appear
- Click
on grade level
- Click on working level (at grade level, above
grade level, or below grade level).
- When
done with classes for one growth area, click on circle for another and then
click on the box under the course # for another drop down list of choices
- Not
all growth areas must have grades. But grades must be given for growth areas
that had any learning reported in learning records.
- Any
appropriate comments may be typed in the comments box, but they will only
be for the cum file and for printing to give to family; not for transcript
use or for notes to transcript clerk
- The
"existing transcript items for this year and semester" will contain
the first semester report card for referral when you are working on the
second semester of that same year
- THE ES MUST MARK THE "DONE" BOX WHEN THE STUDENT HAS COMPLETED
THEIR SEMESTER WORK AND THE ES IS READY FOR THE CREDITS TO BE TRANSFERRED
TO THE STUDENT'S TRANSCRIPT.
