How to Create A
K-8 Report Card in ES WEBfiles
A Grade School report card must be created
before you can create a Student Agreement or print a Portfolio Checklist. Be
sure to only “Create” one per student per semester. After creating the report card, you can
access it at any time from the “View/GS Report Cards” before starting the
report card, be sure that you have a list of all of the growth areas that you
want to include on the report card.
- Choose "Create/ Rep Card/Stu
Agrmt" from drop down list
- Click "Go"
- A message will come up that says, "Choose the type
of Report Card you wish to create: None/cancel, Grade School, or High
School"
- Click on Grade School
- Your student drop down list will appear of your K-8th
grade students
- Choose a student
- The semester drop down box will appear
- Choose the semester
- The school year drop down box will appear. (The school
year is the same for both semesters. For example, if it is the 2006/2007 calendar
year, you should choose "2007" for both the first and second
semesters.
- Choose the correct school year
- Choose a growth area by clicking in
the growth area column. A list of 7
growth areas will appear. Choose from
the drop down box list, one per line for each growth area the student is
working in for that semester.
- Use the title column to add specific
course names if you wish.
At the end of the
semester, go to “View/GS Report Cards” to enter the grades for the courses
taken that semester. Be sure to print a copy of the report card for your
student's file, along with the copy you will provide to your student.
- Select the student’s report card you
wish to view from the list of grade school report cards
- Under academic mark, choose a grade
from the drop down box
- Click on the mark
- The grade drop down box will appear
- Click on appropriate grade level for
that course.
- Click on working level (at grade
level, above grade level, or below grade level).
- When done with classes for one growth area, continue for
another growth area
- Any appropriate comments may be typed in the Comment area
