Setting Up an ISP (Internet Service Provider) for Your Students

 

1.  Email ISP@ieminc.org (for CWCS cwisp@connectingwaters.org) with the following information:

  • Parent number and name
  • Student number and name for up to 2 email accounts
  • Number of email accounts--parent only, parent and 1 student, or parent and 2 students (maximum allowed)

 

2.  Fax (530-295-3583, attention IT) or mail (to Placerville office, attention IT) in the Network/Internet Acceptable use form.  This form is in WEBfiles- going to "view" materials and click on an item that is checked out to that family. For those students that would like to have an ISP but do not have a school-owned computer, the form can be found on the generic forms page. The ISP and email accounts will be readied, and activated on the first of the following month if received prior to the 25th of the current month. The actual user names and passwords will be assigned (not selected by the parent/student) by the office, and emailed to the ES for distribution to the family upon account activation.

 

3. To deactivate an account by choice or if a family drops from the school, immediately email ISP@ieminc.org . Remember, monthly deductions from your IF budget continue until you contact ISP@ieminc.org and ask for an account to be terminated. (For CWCS, ISP accounts will remain active through the summer months for continuing students.)

 

We are currently using Inreach as our ISP vendor.  The charge for internet access is $19.95 a month, and it is deducted monthly from your ES account for each family with ISP services. Internet services and monthly deductions will continue until you (the ES, not the family) notify the office that you wish services to terminate.

 

ISP services will be activated once a month.  For activation/deactivation on the 1st of the month, please be sure all paperwork will reach the IT department by the 25th of the preceding month.  Any notifications reaching IT after the 25th will start/stop services the following month (in 5 weeks).
