Computer Ordering and Tracking

Current computer choices available are on the school website. Go to ES Resources, and choose Current Computer Options. Ordering information (vendor and item numbers to be listed on the
PO) is available at this site by selecting the link for the desired computer system**. POs will be made using your WEBfiles as with other curriculum. A three year warranty is a required part of the order, and no order will be processed without a warranty item number on it. Add the warranty as another line item on the PO, the price of the warranty is listed on the current list of available computers.. All orders must be paid for in one payment, as there are no computer leases available. The computers will be shipped directly to the ES to be delivered to the family. When the computer is received, the order needs to be marked into the database as received, with one additional step: The ES must enter the serial number on the PO in the space provided for it ("serno" just before the price column). You may then print a copy of the PO to take to your family along with the computer for warranty needs. The PO will have a phone number for the parents to call as the computer supplier will work directly with the parent.

**Please do not print out the list of available computer systems and use for extended periods of time as a resource for your families, as they will change regularly as older systems are phased out, new systems become available, and as special deals are made available to us. The web page will be your accurate up-to-the minute source for this information.

Computer Tracking Form

Remember that every family/student who receives a school computer MUST SIGN a Computer Equipment Tracking form prior to a computer system being left in their home:

-To print from WEBfiles: View Materials/click on the code number for the computer/the Computer Equipment Tracking form will be listed on the instructional material detail view. (It may take up to 3 days for the computer to appear on your materials list once you have marked the PO as received. The transfer occurs in the database automatically every 3 days.)

-After you have filled out the form with the parents and filed it in your ES files, check the Computer Equipment Tracking (CET) form button on the Materials detail screen for each computer system a family has checked out to them.(small yellow button on top left). Please go back and check each family's materials list for computers, then check the box (select the "X" from the dropdown list) if you have the CET form in your possession. If you do not have a current CET form, please print one from Webfiles and have the family sign it ASAP. You can do a quick view of which families have a signed CET from your main materials webfiles page, but you cannot enter the check on that layout.

 Computer Serial Number

The serial number is typically indicated on a label on the equipment by the words "Serial No","S/N", or something similar. For the POWER ON computers, the serial number may not be labeled at all, but is the first number listed on the label. For example, on a label that looks like this below, the top number is the Serial Number, and the number to list on the PO in ES Webfiles:

3924
X10-23534
ZZZZZ-7VKPJ-VVVVV-HGGH2-442GY
