When should I save?

Should I save my 10 page document after I finish it? NO

Should I save my 10 page document after I print it? Definitely, NO

I can’t say it often enough. One should save every 10 or 15 minutes AND immediately after doing something difficult.

Is it a really really important document? If so, consider saving your document in a secondary location. Whether you use a floppy, a cd, or online server it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you take the time to save your document.

Am I saving my document in the correct place? In the example below my computer tried to make me save this file in a temporary folder which would be lost if I turned off my computer or lost power so always check where you are saving.

Aah, a very good place to save!
