HQT a-g and General Access 2009

All students must have an HQT

• Each student should have an email account and internet access as they must attend the online office hours. (It is the ESes responsibility to remind the student that they must attend). If your student does not have internet access then the ES should contact the HQT to see if other arrangements can be made to fulfill the Access requirements.
• Each student must be signed up in FRED and charged the listed fee
• HQT gives the grade with input provided by the ES. The ES/Parent will enter progress report in Moodle
• Syllabi will be posted on the CWCS website and in Moodle
• Encourage students to print out their syllabus/pacing guides at the beginning of the year and mark their calendars so that they can plan their schedules and be aware in advance of the dates and times of class meetings
• Make sure that your student comes prepared to class with the proper materials. Books should be ordered using the ISBN numbers. Do not order books that have a similar title from the same publisher.
• Quarterly updates of grades in Moodle can be viewed by ES/Parents
• Progress reports submitted once quarterly by ES (Oct. 1^st, Dec. 1^st, March 2^nd, & May 1^st)
• HQT may contact ES or Parent as needed
• Student can not drop after Oct. 2, 2008
• Student will automatically be dropped from the class if they miss two meetings before Oct. 2, after that, absences will be reflected in the final grade.
• If you must drop a student from an Access course, you need to have them removed from the CP list in FRED. Click on the red X to delete their name prior to the start of the course. To drop after the course begins, email cp@ieminc.org (include the drop date in the email). The ES is responsible to make sure that the CP instructor is notified when one of their students drops from a class. If the student is removed from the cp list prior to the start date, there will be no charge to the student’s IF, otherwise, the student account will be charged $37.50.

For CWCS Employees who are offering HQT Access to students without the use of Elluminate and Moodle. (For HQT Access with Business Vendors, please use the PO Process.)
• ES must submit the HQT CP request form (as an attachment to cwcs@connectingwaters.org
• Individual HQTs will have varying requirements based on their location, their subject matter, and the student's needs. Consult the HQT for more information.
