HQT Non-online Course Options

 

 

This type of HQT Access works best for


*Gifted students who prefer to work independently and are intrinsically motivated
*Above average or general students who receive regular tutoring from a tutor who is not HQ
*Above average or general students who have adequate educational support at home, but parent is not HQ

 

For CWCS Employees who are offering Non-online HQT Access to students (without the use of Elluminate and Moodle), the ES must submit the HQT CP request form (as an attachment to cwcs@connectingwaters.org

For non-online HQT Access with Business Vendors, please use the PO Process.


New UC guidelines regarding a-g courses require a student to take proctored exams. These guidelines may reduce the number of service vendors that will be able to provide a-g HQT access. This HQT vendor list indicates vendors who are willing to provide services according to the UC guidelines.

 

·Individual HQTs will have varying requirements based on their location, their subject matter, and the student's needs.  Consult the HQT for more information.

 

Below are guidelines for the Department HQTs Non-online options.

 

English Department CP Course – Students who do not have online access or who are unable to attend the monthly office hour can work with the class HQT and set up an individual CP Course where individual meeting times can be set up.  Students will still be required to follow class syllabus.

 

History Department CP Course – Students who do not have online access or who are unable to attend the monthly office hour can work with the class HQT and set up an individual CP Course where individual meeting times can be set up.  Students will still be required to follow class syllabus.

 

Mathematics CP Course – Students who do not have online access or who are unable to attend the monthly office hour, or want to use alternative curriculum can work with the class HQT and set up an individual CP Course where individual meeting times can be established. 

 

Science Department CP Course – Students who do not have online access or who are unable to attend the monthly office hour can work with the class HQT and set up an individual CP Course where individual meeting times can be set up.  Students will still be required to follow class syllabus.

 

Visual and Performing Arts CP Course- Students who do not have online access or who are unable to attend the monthly office hour can work with the class HQT and set up an individual CP Course where individual meeting times can be set up.  Students will still be required to follow class syllabus.

 

Foreign Language Department - CWCS does not have an official Foreign Language Department, but it is still required that a-g courses and courses used to meet the Foreign Language Standards graduation requirements have an HQT. Refer to the HQT online resources and HQT approved tutors.
