We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with many Connecting Waters students this year. Thank you! There does seem to be a new trend with the tutoring that we’d like to address with you. A good number of the student tutoring requests that we have received list two, three or even four subjects to be covered in one hour per week.

We recommend at least one hour of tutoring per week per subject. This really allows the tutor to teach the material and answer all of the students’ questions. While we are happy to provide whatever assistance we can, when we’re dividing an hour between three or more subjects in, we’re worried that the student will not show significant progress in any of these subjects. Even two subjects to cover in one hour spreads the tutoring quite thinly.
