ES Agenda September/Assessment

CAHSEE:

The following dates are set as follows:

Oct 2,3 : grades 11,12

Feb. 5,6 : grades 10,11,12

Mar. 11,12 : impending graduating students only

May 6,7 : grades 10(makeups only),11,12

Test site letters are mailed to the students/parents 2 weeks before each test session.

The following areas have test site locations offered, depending on the session dates:

Ceres, Livermore, Lodi, Manteca, Stockton, Oakland

Testing begins promptly at 10am and ends approximately at 3pm. End time is approximate as the tests are untimed. A photo ID of some kind is required in order to test.

2006-07 Scores have been mailed to students, uploaded into Edusoft, placed in cumes, filed in assessment files, and entered in Filemaker.

Correction window ends Aug. 30^th from which Accountability index may be updated later in the year.

CELDT:

Annual Train-the-Trainer attended and certification received on August 14^th. Test Administrators are being trained on Aug. 24^th . Students are being identified needing Initial or Annual testing. Testing will begin on Aug. 27^th. Initial testing to be completed within 30 days of enrollment, annual testing by October 31^st.

SCANTRON:

All ESs should complete their pretest for all students no later than October 8th.  Please see the attached Scantron proctoring schedule. .

Testing grades 2-12 in the areas of Language, Math, and Reading is ongoing at the following locations:

Lodi Boys and Girls Club

Manteca Boys and Girls Club

Ceres Learning Center

Modesto Learning Center

Pleasanton Library

Dublin Library

Calaveras County Office of Education

WRAT:

Testing is done by the ES within 30 days of enrollment for K-1 students. Raw scores are to be entered directly into Filemaker.

STAR:

Testing Window is from Mar. 24-April 22(excluding spring break). Writing tests for grades 4 and 7 are on March 4 (makeups on 5^th)

Test site letters are mailed to the students/parents at least 2 weeks before testing

2006-07 Scores have been mailed to students/parents and their ES, uploaded into Edusoft, placed in cumes, and filed in the assessment files. Some tests are being rescored for accuracy.

ACCOUNTABILITY-API/AYP: State Press Release: Aug 31. Updates will happen two more times due to expected CAHSEE and STAR score corrections.

Aug 16^th training attended by Jodi Leonardo. Strategies are being developed for increasing API/AYP scores.
