CWCS 9th Grade Academic Core Learning Center Class

I am excited to announce a great opportunity for our students that are in 9th grade and desire classroom instruction in both Language Arts and Math….We are opening up enrollment for the 9th grade Academic Core class that has been meeting at the Modesto Learning Center on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 – 3:30. This is a year-long course, and it will meet both 9th grade English and Math credit requirements. The teacher will be Mrs. Donna Vernier, and she will be providing all instruction, lessons, and final grades for participating students.

The academic core class has a maximum of 15 students; this will provide a wonderful classroom experience as well as allow students to have one-on-one time with Mrs. Vernier. This class has been designed for students who may have struggled with pre-algebra, and who need additional instruction in Language Arts in order to prepare for the CAHSEE in 10th grade…. Students will not receive A-G credit for this course.

Students will be enrolled on a first come-first served basis until the maximum is met, and then a waiting list will be formed. Students who enroll in the course will be expected to attend all classes, and make a full year commitment.
