Math Workshops – Parent workshops or family math events can be brought to your area. It would just take a few parents (or ESs) to organize the location and serve as a contact person(s). Workshop topics could be tailored to primary grades, intermediate, middle school or high school. The event could be just for parents or for parents and students. Math help in the Turlock area – the HiMAP program at CSU, Stanislaus provides homework help for students in grades 6-12 in Math and Science. They meet on Wednesdays from 4-5:30. The cost is $75 per semester (the first semester ends Jan.23), if using a CWCS purchase order. (They generally do not accept purchase orders, but have agreed to do so for our students.)
