Randy Gaschler with IEM, The
Lisa Avila ~ Lap-books and Unit Studies:
Unit study involves taking one topic or subject and creatively
building an entire curriculum around it. Unit studies stimulate
creativity and expand retention of topics studied. Lap books "showcase" what a child
has accomplished during a unit of study by creating books with paper, scissors,
glue and child's artwork. There will be a drawing for a prize during the
Unit Study/Lap Book workshop.
