Computer Recycling at Learning Centers

Please Read Thoroughly!

The learning centers will be accepting computers for recycling from Monday, December 3rd through Thursday, December 6th between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.

Computers and components will only be accepted from ESes. Please do not have parents/students return items. All items must have been purchased with instructional funds and will be checked in by the clerks at the time of drop off. Please allow time for this process.  Serial numbers for towers and laptops must be provided at that time.  Units brought in without this information cannot be accepted due to tracking purposes. Please submit the ES Computer Recycle Drop Off Form with the items to be recycled.

Items being accepted are as follows: Laptops, Towers, Monitors, Keyboards, and Printers. Please do not bring in any other type of items as they will not be accepted. You may drop off your items to either center.

Please be sure to follow CWCS Computer Recycling Policy for Obsolete computers when bringing in returns. The policy is found in the Computer Repair/Refresh policy and is as follows:

"ESes may take obsolete school owned computers to an official electronic recycler. A receipt must be obtained for their student files, and the information about the recycling must be entered into their materials list in WEBfiles. “Obsolete” is defined as any non-working computer over 5 years old, or any non-working computer over 3 years old in which the repair cost (determined by a school computer vendor) is over half the cost of a new computer."
