Eng10B-PLIP-Primary text is Starline.  In addition, student is spending an extra hour a day in this subject.

 

Algebra 1A-PLIP-Student is performing low in this subject area.  Student is using Starline material and dedicating an extra 30 minutes in this subject. 

 

PLIP: The student's parent and I have completed the Language Arts Checklist and are assured that all of the California State Standards are being addressed. 

 

PLIP:  The student is using curriculum that is aligned with the California State Standards. She attends a tutor session for 1 ½ hours once a week and also attends the online department course under the guidance of an highly qualified teacher.

 

PLIP: The student will be using curriculum that is aligned with the California State Standards. He will be using the Sadlier Oxford textbooks, which are state adopted.

 

PLIP: Student uses state aligned curriculum. She will also be participating in the HQT English 11 class.

 

PLIP: Student is using CA Standards aligned curriculum.

 

PLIP: Student is using state aligned curriculum and works with study group.

 

PLIP: Student is using CA Standards aligned curriculum and is AESS.

 

PLIP: Student is using CA standards based curriculum.  She will be arranging transportation to take a class at a learning center or take an  online class.

 

CAHSEE PLIP: Student is using Measuring Up prep materials as well as CDE CAHSEE materials, all of which are standards based. She is also taking a CAHSEE prep class at the Ceres Learning Center

 

CAHSEE PLIP:  Student is using CAHSEE prep. materials and is getting help from a tutor once a week.

Student scored 5.4 on the reading section of the Scantron. Currently, Student is out of practice with schoolwork. He is now working with Standards Based curriculum. He will be monitored closely with visits biweekly. He wishes to try school without the AESS program, but will reassess if he begins to struggle. Student is trying school again, but is easily frustrated. If tutoring becomes necessary, it will be provided. Online classes may be an option also when the family gets computer connections.

 

English 9A, English 9B

Student is using two books for this class. He is using the Starline Press 9th grade English series and supplementing with AGS Basic Composition. In his writing sample, Student uses short sentences and tells a short story with a clear message. He needs to demonstrate more complex sentences in future samples.

This learning record period, he is working on a short biography of Tupac. He has researched on the internet, in books and magazines for information on the singer. He has created a rough draft of his biography and is working with his mom and dad to edit the paper. He has also reviewed sentence structure, and is able to identify complete sentences and fragments. He is also working on capitalization, ending punctuation and types of sentences. He can identify command, statement, question and exclamation sentences and use appropriate punctuation. Learning occurred through reading of textbooks, books, magazines and web pages. It also occurred through writing and workbook practice and discussions with his parents.
Learning was assessed by student self evaluation, and E.S. review of written work.

 

PLIP*
Student scored 6.3 on the Scantron math. He is out of practice with schoolwork and testing. He will be using a standards based curriculum (Starline Press) for Algebra. If needed he will receive tutoring. Student wants to try to succeed with out AESS at this time, but will consider it at a later date if needed.
