What is EOC?
End of Course (EOC)
End of Course (EOC) tests are additional CST tests given during STAR testing to students in grades 7-11 that are participating in a year long course of study in a specific subject. These tests are in addition to the CST grade level tests that are included in their STAR test booklet. Not all students in grades 7-11 will be required to take an EOC. There is a set of criteria to determine if your student should take an EOC. This year, FRED, will be listing the EOC that the student will be assigned based upon their report card course list. We still need the ES to doublecheck the information by Nov. 20th to be sure that the correct test has been assigned in case of database error. To find the EOC layout, go to "view" testing, choose the STAR tab, click on the student number, EOCs are in the grey “assigned EOC tests” box. If the box is empty, it is assumed that student has no EOC requirement in that subject. The specific EOC tests assigned per student are determined by criteria set forth by CDE (the links to the criterion are posted on the Assessment website). If you click on the grey button, you will see the current report card for the student. You may click Cancel on any EOC not wanted from this layout.
