CAHSEE(California High School Exit Exam): Grades 10, 11, 12 are required to participate. Beginning with the Class of 2006, all public school students will be required to pass the CAHSEE to earn a high school diploma. 10th graders can only attempt one time per year and it must be in the spring. 11^th graders can only attempt two times per year. 12^th graders can attempt three times per year.
CELDT(California English Language Development Test):This is a State-required test for English language proficiency that must be given to students whose primary language is other than English. If the language questions on the CWCS application are answered with any other language than English, those students must be tested within 30 days of enrollment.
PFT(Physical Fitness Test): Only grades 5, 7, 9 are required to participate. The test window runs from Feb-May. We do the bulk of our testing during the STAR test window for logistical reasons.
STAR(Standardized Testing and Reporting): Only grades 2-11 are required to participate.
WRAT(Wide Range Achievement Test): ESs are required to administer the WRAT to their students according to this schedule: Administer the WRAT to each newly enrolling K and 1^st grade student within 30 days of initial enrollment in CWCS. Administer the WRAT to each returning 1^st grade student. All students who did not complete a STAR test need to complete a WRAT prior to the last day of school.
